Inspired by the waiting stranger Brett Amory captures the frozen moment of unique characters in what I see, as a temporary limbo. The ride on the train, waiting for the light to turn; where we are in the midst of point A and B. As I interpret the art, the abstract world that surrounds his more clearly painted characters is a questioning of place. There is no distinction, but the current situation of the waiting for life to go forward.
